SynthFont2 wish list
SynthFont2 wish list
I suggest you guys post your wish lists here.
Re: SynthFont2 wish list
So I got another wish that is hopefully not too tough to do.
I regulary use my keyboard now with SynthFont but unfortunately my keyboard (which is plugged in via USB) has 2 MIDI in ports. All the notes come through one port and all the controls will go through the other one. I've looked at the keyboard's manual but there is no way to fix ot unless I used the dedicated MIDI port on the keyboard and connect it with a USB to MIDI adapter (which I don't have).
For now, SynthFont seems to support multiple MIDI in ports but it can't map them to the same MIDI channels. Would it be possible to implement that?

PS: I already seem to have posted this but it didn't appear, so I'll do again.

Re: SynthFont2 wish list
This is on par with my target to make SynthFont2 a) respond better to live input (more like SyFonOne) and b) make SynthFont2 store the received data in the tracks for saving into a file. Any day now. This feature request of yours IS higher up on the agenda but will not make it for 2.0.2.0. "Running out of time."

Re: SynthFont2 wish list
Maximizing the window does not cleanly fit it into the screen. It goes out past the borders and below the taskbar, obscuring the text at the bottom of the window. If you are using multiple monitors the edge sticks out onto the other monitor. Hopefully this is easy to fix.
Re: SynthFont2 wish list
It would be great to be able to assign default SoundFonts and GIG files to each GM bank so when working with older MIDIs (I'm thinking Older Game Music) SynthFont would automatically set the assigned SoundFont, or GIG and setting to go with the GM bank. This would save a LOT of time.
Maybe the feature is already there, but I haven't found it yet...

Re: SynthFont2 wish list
A great improvement would not have silence between a track and the next.
Re: SynthFont2 wish list
@Xementhal - did you mean no silence between a SONG and the next (as "track" is used to identify an entity within a midi file, e.g. one track for each channel). This feature would be a playlist setting, I reckon. I'll think about it.

@Lynx_TWO: In a way I think the feature you are looking for is there, it is simply so difficult to use that I wouldn't like to talk about it...
I'm [not]talking about the Bank Manager.

@sharkattackman - can you post or send me a screen shot? Which OS version?
