Topic: Another Minor Oddity--Reverb Send

I know that SynthFont doesn't seem to use any of these, but the Reverb Sends in the splits (but not the presets!) are backwards: 100% is displayed as 0%, 70% as 30%, and so forth.  The splits in SynthFont have the same characteristic.

Re: Another Minor Oddity--Reverb Send

Gotta check this. Although it has no effect on anything - at the moment.

Re: Another Minor Oddity--Reverb Send

Also, the effect send values cannot be saved properly: reverb cannot be changed in the presets, but chorus can; and the chorus and reverb in the splits sort of reflect the backwards display--enter 400.0 (yes, four hundred), and the 60.0 is displayed.

(Yes, I actually use another synth on occasion, and would like to be able to edit soundfonts.)

Re: Another Minor Oddity--Reverb Send

Will fix for the next release. Promise.

Re: Another Minor Oddity--Reverb Send

If I understand the convention correctly, the effect sends in the splits should vary between 0 and 100%, while in the presets its -100 to +100%.

Here is a link to a test version:

I think it's fixed now.

Re: Another Minor Oddity--Reverb Send

It appears to correctly save new input values, and to correctly display new and existing input values.  It may be a while before I can do a listening test; speaking of which, I notice a Reverb on the toolbar--does this incorporate the Soundfont send values?  If so, the listening test would go a lot faster.

Thanks.

(I answered my own question: the reverb does indeed use the send values. Very nice! But I can't turn it on or off reliably--I have to change presets to get it to respond to the checkbox. And the "Amount" seems to be set by the "send" levels and cannot be set manually, correct?

Thanks again!)

Re: Another Minor Oddity--Reverb Send

Do you mean to say that the checkbox "Use Reveeerb" in the "Reveeerb" dialog does not work?

Re: Another Minor Oddity--Reverb Send

Things are a little different than I thought when I first tried it; things work fine, they're just a little sticky: I must click on the preset or instrument again after changing the checkbox state for the change to take hold.

Re: Another Minor Oddity--Reverb Send

Ok, I think I see what you mean.
