Any program that export "drumnote names" for a preset?

Post by JT64 » Thu Apr 04, 2019 9:47 am

I am not sure if note names are part of the preset standard but since presets built by samples it ought to be, i look for a program with an exporting"filetype" that include the sample name for midi drumnotes in a pad "in an easily reading import manner".

I've tried export into Cakewalk ins files with megafont.

I am looking for a way to read out and export the "drum notes sample names" ***for a preset***, i only played with megafont so maybe ins files do support note names afterall?

Can anyone recommend me a program that will export SF2 presets with notenames? Just a sort of instrument file without names. I know how complex SF2 is and i really do not fiddle with reading out the preset and note names myself.

I am building a midisequenser in javascript and come so far i now want to deal with reading out the notes drumnames "for a bank?, that hold drumpreset". Reading out the the names in javascript from the SF2 certainly possible, but right now it seem like overkill.

Maybe something for Vienna a way to create a text instrument file, holding "bank,program" for each preset but right under preset ***EACH KEY AND NOTENAME/SAMPLE*** just for the drumpresets.

Suggestion for most easy instrument format to read out.

[127,1] Standard drums
@0@ Whizzle
@37@ Snaredrum
[127,8] TR 808
@4@ TR SNARE
@9@ TR CLAP

If anyone can suggest how to do this in javascript, it would be fun to try make it myself, but i know to little about the SF2 format "start bracket" "end bracket" for presets "and howto find read out sample names "start bracket" "end bracket" for notes in drumpresets.

Basically Vienna already have the functions and structure to save it down to its own instrument file. I would be happy if export into viennas own instrument textfile format was possible.

Exporting everything into a text file should be a no-brainer. Will add to to-do list.

Here is the instrument format for presets and notemapping i did go for in my, sequenser.
So now i can load drumpatches with names from my Roland SC-7, unfortunately it do not have any banks.
But i guess i will have the Bank Messages necessary inside brackets. Because i guess bank changes may be individual for each synth?
But mission accomplised be able to change preset/patch and get the notenames to assign to pads.
*Something * denotes the notes that changed from standard drum preset, probably the ones you want to map to the pad for preset.
