Hello, Kenneth!
The keyboard still disappears, and there is a new inconvenience -
- when I click on a preset it expands the view (as if the plus sign has been clicked), and this makes browsing a soundfont very uncomfortable
and slow. Maybe you could put a switch somewere for this new behavior.
Greatings - Sammy!
Edited Instruments Splits in Viena, now all samples are broken
Re: Edited Instruments Splits in Viena, now all samples are broken
Sammy, there IS a switch. Go to Setup and Options!
The thing with the disappearing keyboard is odd. I have not myself seen this for some time. Can you offer a step-by-step?

Hi, Kenneth!
Thanks for the fast reply!
The switch only works half-way - it toggles between the preset name and global split beeng in focus.
Still navigating the presets whith the arrow keys (or instruments) expands the view. And you can imagine after awhile - it makes it very difficult -
- the expanded veiws never colaps.
As for the disappearing keyboard - it's hard to say - after working a few minutes it happens. I think it only happens when playng external midi keyboard.
Hope this helps! Best regards - Sammy!

Re: Edited Instruments Splits in Viena, now all samples are broken
Kenneth,
Two small bugs I noticed yesterday when working with 0.995G -
1. When adding a split, even after saving the addition, it will not display the new split until I have clicked on the global view of an ALTERNATIVE instrument and then returned to the one I am working on. (I discovered this workaround by accident).
2. It will not allow me to rename an instrument.

John,
Again I am confused (which I probably am most of the time). I cannot reproduce these bugs in 0.995G. Maybe you need to tell me more.
Let's start with the "easy" one, the renaming issue. What actually happens? (Or doesn't happen).

Here is a video showing what happens when I add a split to an instrument:

Kenneth,
Regarding the split, having watched your video, that is exactly what I do, except that the new split does not display (or at least, it didn't yesterday). I haven't tried it today, because I've just got home from having a colonoscopy....... But I got a good report.
I could get the split to display, by using that odd workaround.
On the renaming issue, I select the Instrument name in the tree list at the left, do a right click, and then possible I try to rename it - or perhaps it doesn't get that far, because IIRC the blue highlight immediately slips down onto "Global". Very strange.

Thanks John,
Well, I'm not much wiser. I suggest you abandon "G" and go on to this one:
