Kenneth,

0.995I is not showing the strange behaviour of the blue highlight on the Instrument name immediately slipping down to “Global”. HOWEVER, if I then right-click the name with the intention of doing a rename, Rename is greyed out. So it is not possible to rename an Instrument.

And I still have to do that workaround in order to display a new split.

I might add that I am using a new, very small soundfont which has been created from scratch. It has no connection with any “doubtful” old ones. I am using Windows 7.

Seems like I need to create a special debug version for you. Usually it helps me see the light!
I'll be back.

John,
Here is a new version for you to test:

If it doesn't work then please run with the debug window and send me the text.

John,
I know now why you can't edit the name! You have this experimental feature switched on:

Switch it off!
This is something I will need to fix.

Which I did. I have a new version here:

It is still called "J".

Kenneth,

I have been using the 0.995J and it is behaving itself nicely. However, I have noticed one odd thing when deleting splits. I very occasionally need to delete a whole range of splits. With older versions which allowed me to do this, once a split was deleted, it would highlight the “next in line”, so all I had to do for it was to click on Edit and then on Delete, and to keep repeating that until the whole range was deleted. However, 0.995J won’t delete the next split until I move the highlight to another split and then back again before doing the edit/delete.

Thanks as always for a great program.

Friends!
The official version of Viena 0.995 was released today.
If you have been running any test version of 0.995 and want to official one you need to download and install it yourself, as the version number is the same. Here's the official installation file:

Kenneth,

I have to report that Viena 0.995 is corrupting samples, and the sound is similar to what has been happening with recent versions. It happens after purging some unused samples (actually samples that have been replaced by doing reassigns), and then saving. The corruption does not occur until after the save.

Here is the link to the WinDB32 file:
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/673 ... 5test2.txt

This is a very small soundfont: one Preset of two Instruments. The soundfont was started from scratch.
