Cannot save arrangements or arrangement for midi input

I'm guessing that not being able to save arrangement is a limitation on un-registered versions?

Or am I missing something about what is required for an arrangement to be saved?

I just want to be able to save my midi input settings and if I can it would make more worth purchasing soon.

No, even an un-registered version will let you save an Arrangement.
I'm not sure I get what you are after... The MIDI input PORT you choose in "Setup and Options" and your selection there is saved in a configuration file, not an Arrangement. Maybe you need to tell me more.

8-) Thank you for the quick reply, Kenneth. I decided to purchase the programs anyways, because it is pretty incredible regardless of what I am having trouble with right now. :geek:

So I click 'Turn MIDI Input ON' button and the default soundfont I chose loads and the midi port is receiving correct info; Great. Now say I am making changes to 'Pitch of standard A (Hz)' from its default, to 430 Hz; These are lost on program restart. And the mixer volume adjustments per instrument are set back to default on restarting application.
The 'Output sample rate (Hz)' setting IS being saved (I adjusted it to 96000) and it reloaded correctly on program restart.

Synthfont2 accomplishes what I need otherwise, and I could perhaps use a MouseRecorder application to auto adjust the settings (although that would take a bit of planning to get working smoothly).

The Synthfont.ini file seems to be getting written to and in the right location. If I save as Midi Arrangement, and try to re-open, I get all these 'percussion channel 9 is available' and 'The maximum number of TRUE midi channels has been reached. Sorry.' Window keeps popping up, then I have to terminate program through task manager.
Maybe the problem is that I am saving it while the Midi input button is set to 'ON'.

I could send a screen recording if explanation is too vague. I do realize a lot of time and effort go into making these high quality programs, so no rush on response.

Okay, I see what you are looking for. There is a special type of arrangement "for MIDI input mode" which you can find in the menu item File. I must say I haven't tested this feature for a very long time, but please give it a shot.

Thank you!

I am finding my way around the program sufficiently now. The interface just takes a little getting used to, for me, because I am more familiar with drop-down menus.

Synthfont2 is great and there are many features that make it a most valuable soundfont player/instrument editor, for anyone composing music with a desire for high quality results.
