Re: Using the soundfonts

You can find SoundFonts in many places. A SoundFont is just a file that you save somewhere, you do not need to perform any special installation tricks. However, you must of course "tell" your Virtual Synth which SoundFont to use. You can go here to have a look at my list of links to variou...

Re: Synthfont1 MIDI file help

Have you Windows set to hide extensions of known files? If so, try to change the setting to see what extension each file has.

Re: Help File

Hi Ced, Thanks once again for your support! Here's one rather old and maybe not so helpful file: http://www.synthfont.com/synthfont.chm And this very short introduction: http://www.synthfont.com/Introduction.pdf Then there is this lengthy document by user Eric Keller: http://www.synthfont.com/SynthF...

Re: Exporting SF2 to oldschool hardware sampler

Hi Michael, What a project you have in front of you! After reading your post a few times I am sorry to say that I can't see how I can be of much help. My only advice is to convert to samples to 44100 Hz and try to live with that. My experience is that, using a good quality converter like anyone foun...

Re: Marker saving

Yes, you can. New markers (not from the midi file) can be saved in the Arrangement. Markers defined in the midi file will be saved when you save the midi file.

NOTE: This is a SynthFont2 subject and and not a VSTSynthFont one!

Re: Sustain Pedal not Working

The implementation of this feature is quite different in SynthFont1 and in SyFonOne (all three programs have diffe...

Re: How Can I Set The Default Soundfont to a VSTi?

Yes, this feature has been disabled because of a number of technical issues. When - and if - I get the time I will work on it again.

Re: SynthFont2 wish list

Linus,
If you're still around and interested in this subject - or anyone else for that matter - I may be able to create something for you to test. I have done some preliminary work and I think I have a rough idea of how it ought to work.

Re: Questions about VSTSynthFont

As it looks now - with a minor bug in the latest version - the size limitations is 2 GB. I guess that when/if I get this fixed the SoundFont size limit ought to be 4GB. Update: just made a test with the fixed version successfully reading and using a 3.30 GB SoundFont. (This same bug is also found in...
