Re: New test version
Cos has been talking about better support for external hardware like his Roland SD50 synthesizer. I have listened to him and together we have made some advances. It is all about System Exclusive messages. To be able to send these to your device every time a song is being played you need to do a few...

Re: New test version
Additionally, I think being able to also load external SYX files would be a great feature --and sending all the messages within after loading them. Also being able to save SysEx messages to a file or merge and save the ones you want to a single SYX file would be a perfect feature. :) I.e. You add th...

Re: New test version
Happy New Year 2016 everyone! Thanks Kenneth. Ideally one could add a message (lots of boxes needed) and being able to switch it on and off. For instance, Large Hall 1 sounds quite nice with orchestral music (but only with that in my experience) so people could switch off the SysEx message for..say....

Re: New test version
Hello Kenneth. I might need your help here. The Roland SD50 has a very important flaw for me and it's that every time you power it on it goes to its default values, and that includes the Large Hall reverb, which is SOOOOOOO horrible and overpowering, a bit too much. :x  Problem is, I built anot...

Re: New test version
Cos, Maybe you can send me a midi file with special SD50 drum patches? Or just tell me the name of one found in your (original) big archive you have shared with us. This file contains a native drum kit, one GM/GS patch, GM2 patches, and several native presets https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/803...

Re: New test version
Merry Christmas everyone!! :) In regards to bugs, I found one which is quite recurrent on Synthfont. When playing songs edited for the SD50, Synthfont is the only synth that handles the native presets pretty well, except for the drums channel. When I save a MIDI file with any native SD50 drums, play...

Re: New test version
partially.., yes Kenneth. your gm2 sysex enables the native presets of the hardware in several DAWs, even in Music Creator 6 Touch and Sonar 8.5, but the thing is that the settings aren't saved like they used to be because it-s not only that but the Microsoft GS Wavetable Synth is selected by defaul...

Re: New test version
Well, it doesn't work that way in my computer, Kenneth. That makes it impossible for me to open different files from the Internet. I check the following steps: MIDI Input Port: SD-50 audio input port: SD-50 Device: SD-50 - GM2 Yes. SysEx. Yes. Even in the same session, after I press Save and return ...

Re: New test version
Two bugs (2.0.2.2 version: - First one is a recurrent bug. Setup and Options settings aren't saved in between sessions. That's an important bug. - Second one is that the excellent internal Synthfont file explorer doesn't work as it used to -it always was an essential feature. Functions like Open, co...

Re: New test version
Thanks Cos for the link to your features wish list. I try to take notes on everything for my own todo-list (many of them as I often keep the todo-items within the source code, easy that way) but I also tend to loose things in there during the development process (trying something out - not good - g...
